Mike Rigby, Director - mike.rigby@co2balance.com 

Mike is a Chartered Environmentalist, Chartered Town Planner and Chartered Waste Manager who has worked with local authorities and industry to minimise the impacts of the minerals and waste sectors on the environment.  He is based in the UK and shares overall management of the organisation with fellow co-founder Mark Simpson and has particular responsibility for business development and client liaison.

Mark's early background as a Research Chemist has been instrumental in setting up the principles behind the co2balance project. More recently, he has specialised in the restoration of period properties across the UK with particular emphasis on energy efficiency ensuring high insulation values are achieved and energy efficient appliances used. The most recent renovation project has involved converting a property to be CarbonZero in its energy usage. Mark shares overall management of the organisation with fellow co-founder Mike Rigby and has particular responsibility for the website and technical issues.


Huw Jones, Finance Director - huw.jones@co2balance.com

Huw has a long career in business having acted Finance Director for a number of large companies.  He is a Chartered Accountant.


Mark Rigby, Global Sales Director - mark.rigby@co2balance.com

Mark has over 15 years' experience in sales and marketing.  In addition to his sales role, Mark co-ordinates co2balance’s afforestation projects throughout Europe.


Gary Rumbold, UK Director (South) - gary.rumbold@co2balance.com

Gary has over 15 years experience of working in banking and the financial markets where he developed a keen business sense and honed his skills in customer relations. His desire to do something worthwhile and his passion for cycling prompted him to establish his own ethically driven mountain biking holiday business in 2001, which he successfully ran for 5 years. Gary is a dedicated environmentalist and avid promoter of the organic food movement. He still loves to ride his bikes, of which there are many.


Suzanne Longworth,  UK Director (North) - suzanne.longworth@co2balance.com

Suzanne has been able to combine her interest in the environment with her background as an Executive Business Coach enabling her to work closely with clients to CarbonZero their businesses. "As all companies are diverse in their requirements, my role within co2balance as UK Director ensures each company is fully supported in their journey to become CarbonZero and remain CarbonZero in the future."


Paul Chiplen, Communications Manager - paul.chiplen@co2balance.com 

Paul has merged his keen interest of environmental matters with promotion and PR, and has a local authority background as a Waste Campaigns Officer. Paul has recently project managed a major waste promotional campaign, deigned to raise the awareness of reducing, reusing and recycling waste. He has been heavily involved with media relations and promotional campaigns designed to increase recycling levels and reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill.
 

Adam Blaker, Chief Scientist - adam.blaker@co2balance.com 

Adam has a background in Physical Oceanography, and is also carrying out research as a Climate Scientist at the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton. He has a keen interest in global climate and the effects of fossil fuel burning. Adam brings knowledge and understanding of current scientific developments to the team.

Ian Myers,  Senior Consultant - ian.myers@co2balance.com 

Ian has been involved with environmental regulation and improvement work since 1989. Originally specialising in water quality issues he managed high profile river rehabilitation projects in urban areas in the North West of England that were supported and funded by the EU Objective One scheme and the Mersey Basin Campaign. More recently Ian has worked with the agricultural, waste and industry sectors to improve the environment in Somerset since moving to the South West. He is now involved in changing Environmental Regulation throughout England and Wales. Ian has had a keen and practical interest in environmental issues for almost 30 years.
